@ jmacdoug: Man you are frustrated with Magento but I don’t think that this developer has anything to say about what to put in the Magento core so don't blame him! Did you ever tried the MenuBuilder component or are you just making some good advertisement for prestashop? If you can’t handle Magento and you are not happy with it just go back to your prestashop shop! @ kostad: Sure there is. You can spend hours in the Magento forum looking for a heck, trying to implement them and still you will never get what this component offers. Be serious, if you really need something like this than it is the best you can get and I don’t think that anyone how bought this ever regretted it! You will never regret the money spend and next to this: TSDesigns is offering a 30 day money back policy.The more is use, code and understand Magento to more respect this component gets. It’s probably the best coded extension I ever used and works like a charm! I modified the menu to fit my design and had some problems displaying the way I wanted it. Magento is a very flexibel and extendable piece of work, if you know your way around in thousands of files.But it lacks a lot of cms features. Somehow the development team of Magento is only focussed on building a great ecommerce platform, but if you want to design something on your own,and a little bit different, the chance you get stuck is big.
And here comes this extension from Tobias (TSDesigns), making menues a breeze. The first time I installed this one I had a problem. Tobias had a hard time to find the bug but managed to do that in one day. From then on it was very, very simple to put everything I needed in my menu.
For another site I wanted a complete different looking menu, couldn't figure out how to do that and again Tobias helped me within just a few hours!
Very useful extension with a lot of options. It's not the cheapest one, but hey, if you have a store that is looking good and easy to navigate, and you made that navigation within half an hour, you will sell more!
Maybe a few things can be optimized: if I want to add categories as a node in the menu, each time I have to type the displayname of that node. I understand the thought behind this but it would be more productive to automatically fill in the chosen category name (because this will be used in 90% of the cases) and let people change them if needed. Saves lot's of time if you have to add 164+ categories to the menu...
Another small thing: make the css coming with the menu easier to read. I had to look a while back and forth to find out which class to change before I had what I want. maybe a little more explanation in the comment. 2011-12-23 11:16:43 on

I am interested in this module but I would like clarification on your update policy. Okay so I've purchased this extension 2 days ago and I was working on it and familiarizing it and I must say it's one of the best Magento extensions out there!Installation is easy if you know your way around Magento file systems, and the extension itself is very dynamic, pulls in all the content for your options so all you have to do is select what you want on the menu. You can also configure sub menu items. It's just very very flexible.
I had troubles with a configuration on the category and the developer of this extension was very helpful, he replied my emails quickly to get the help that I need and I'm just very impressed with everything. My coworkers here are too. The price is a lil high, but none other extensions works just as well as this. And the support as mention was great. It's worth every penny and I'm glad I paid for this. I was looking for a way to easily display multiple menus, cms pages and external inks to my main menu. This component promised it all. My problem was the price. 200euro for the single store component is quite a lot for “just giving it a try”. After a phone call and a friendly en helpful expiation I was ready to test this component. I think the 30 day money back guarantee really took me over the line.The component is great! Really easy in use. You can set a lot of parameters in the back and also add pictures to the menu. Adding cms, an external ink or making a 2end menu was never this easy! It also allows you to set a class to the menu so you can chance the hole css for the menu without going in the files. This is the option I use.
So: If you run a small site with low budget you might want to look for a heck somewhere in the forum. If you have a big project like my project is, and you think about this component, just gif it a try. I think it will save you lots of tine and will make Magento live easier in the end!
